UPDATE:
Guus van den Brekel has agreed to write a guest post for davidrothman.net on the purposes and goals of Second Life Medical Library 2.0. In the meanwhile, here are a few more links about it.
Medical Library section at InfoIsland.org
Just discovered the Second Life Medical Libary 2.0 today at its blog.

From http://secondlife.com:
Second Life is a 3-D virtual world entirely built and owned by its residents. Since opening to the public in 2003, it has grown explosively and today is inhabited by 268,725 people from around the globe
If someone would like to help explain the point of Second Life Medical Library 2.0 and what it hopes to accomplish, please consider this an invitation to do so in a guest post on this blog.

Hi David,
I see you have visited the Medical Library yesterday -;)
I must warn you! This is how it all started for me. My great skepticisme turned into enthusiasm. I was forgotten how much i liked playing games. It all started as an experiment, and it still is, but i am surpised how many notice us and how many health related activities there are in SL.
Shall I deliver the post by mail?
regards,
Namro
