I think medical wiki's will only be successful if some sort of editorial/peer review will be in place. As to some other examples, I kown of: Openwetware http://openwetware.org/wiki/Main_Page A controlled wiki for laboratory protocols. Fluwikie http://www.fluwikie.com/ A controlled wiki with information on Influeza. David I share your concerns.
