		<description>This is the most sensible statement on this issue I&#039;ve seen in the biblioblogosphere so far.  I do hope that the visibility that the Times article has given to this situation will help to pressure the various parties involved to come up with a solution that will eliminate the need to close the library, but I think you are entirely right to point out that the library itself has apparently done everything that it could do.  I am on occasion frustrated when I read posts from people talking about the way they think things ought to be when they have never borne real responsibility for making those things happen.</description>
