  1. Wow! Nothing gets by you! I just put those up last night so I’m kind of shocked anyone found them so quickly.

    Have you ever thought of going into detective work? I suppose reference work does require us all to be detectives. 🙂

  2. Hi Meredith. 🙂

    I have an RSS feed for newly uploaded presentations from SlideShare- I run that through some very specific filters to make sure I only see the sorts of presentations that interest me.

    Of course, this illustrates the awesome power of RSS as a current awareness tool.

  3. David,

    What kind of filters? What tools do you use?

    I’ve been thinking of trying to use yahoo pipes to process the slideshare RSS feeds… haven’t gotten around to it though.

    Nice slides! ;->

  4. Hi Jonathan. 🙂

    I don’t remember offhand which filtering tool I set it up with (the subscribed URL in my aggregator doesn’t indicate) but any of them will do, Pipes included. If you are (for example) only interested in presentations about education, you might filter to only allow items that contain “education,” “teach,” or “educator.”

    Let me know if that makes sense or if you’d like a little more detail. 🙂
