Screencast: Using RSS to Add Currency to the Library Web Site
As a part of the 5 Weeks to a Social Library course, Melissa L. Rethlefsen prepared this great screencast to demonstrate some of the nifty things one can do with RSS for a Library’s Web site.

Melissa is the Education Technology Librarian at the Learning Resource Center of the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in my home town, Rochester, MN.

Thanks for the kind words, David! I recommend using the streaming server version at http://media.lib.uh.edu/rethlefsen.mov if you can get to it–the blip.tv one suffers from distortion.

Melissa, I had precisely the opposite experience.

Yeah, I think people either find the blip.tv one to work well OR the streaming one, but which one is better seems to depend on the viewer’s connection, browser and computer. Weirdness!

What I meant was, the height is elongated in the blip.tv version–not really a big deal.
