MediNews: Digg for Medical Literature, Part IV
I’ve been over BioWizard a few times and covered Dissect Medicine, but didn’t know about MediNews.

Built with the Pligg content management system, MediNews can’t really compete with BioWizard in terms of features, and appears to have a fairly small user base- which matters because you can’t have a “wisdom of crowds” effect without a crowd. Still, it is interesting to note that there are now at least three separate efforts to create a “Digg for medical literature.” I’m betting there will be more.
[Thanks, Nnamdi!]

Medinews is fairly new site and will take time to form community, which will further generate the “wisdom of crowds”.
